FLIPANY UNVEILS AFTERSCHOOL POWERSNACK MENU

Afterschool meals (AMP) are expanding in Miami-Dade County because FLIPANY, a major community-based CACFP sponsor in South Florida, has created a new AMP PowerSnack menu.

The new menu is served in bento-box style which allows for easier point of service at the afterschool program sites, and it includes five components instead of the standard two-component snack which ensures higher quality nutrition to fuel afterschool learning and activities.

“By offering our new Power Snacks to over 1,000 students in aftercare programs across Miami-Dade County and hoping to expand further into locations in Broward County, we are exposing them to different, healthy foods, that are tasty and easy to serve; ensuring kids receive the nutrients they need to learn, grow and thrive,” said FLIPANY President, CEO and Founder Lynne Kunins.
